Our history is their heritage: the Israel/NZ connection

In a presentation in Rotorua, Hon Alfred Ngaro, acknowledged Te Arawa for the steps taken in establishing a relationship with Israel. 

He discussed the way in which New Zealand’s history has become part of Israeli heritage, how Kiwi soldiers, including those from Te Arawa iwi fought in the Battle of Ayun Kara and are honoured in Israel.

Alfred tells of experience with an Australian delegation of politicians to Israel, which included a visit to the West Bank planned city of Rawabi and discusses the many ways that Israeli technology can assist New Zealand.
